Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Illinois Homecoming

Tailgate: Saturday, October 23rd, 2010, 9 a.m. next to U of I Soccer Field

Kick-off: 11 a.m. at Memorial Stadium

Post-game Party: Immediately following the football game at Alice Campbell Alumni Center, 601 S. Lincoln Ave., Urbana, IL


Your registration includes:


  • The Pre-game tailgate event

  • Football game ticket

  • Post-game party at Alice Campbell Alumni Center

  • Eligibility to reserve a limited number of hotel rooms

The tailgate is co-sponsored by BAN, the University of Illinois Alumni Association and the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics' Committee on Diversity. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.


Directly following the football game, be sure to stop by the Alice Campbell Alumni Center and visit the BAN table at the official Illinois Homecoming party featuring complimentary food, cash bar, music and more fun.


Cost is $65.00 per person. Game tickets are limited so register today! Proceeds from this event will go to support BAN programming.


Park for free at Alice Campbell Alumni Center and for just $2 per person, ride the game day shuttle round-trip to and from Memorial Stadium. Bus tokens will be available for purchase at the Alumni Center's information desk.

In Memorial of Kenneth Parker, son of Dean Paul Parker & Annie Parker


Kenneth Parker (December 16, 1965 - April 1, 2010)
Kenneth C. Parker age 44, of Painted Post, NY died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at home. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 808 E. Bradley, Champaign. The funeral service will begin at 12:00, noon at the church. Rev. Lundy Savage will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Champaign.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 16, 1965, Ken was the son of Paul and Annie (Withers) Parker, Sr. He was a graduate of the Champaign schools and the University High School. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in computer science.

Ken started working for Corning Incorporated, Corning, NY in 1983 as a summer intern. He became a full-time employee in 1986 and was currently a Product Line Specialist in Information Technologies for Corning Incorporated.

Ken loved sports and was an avid bowler and golfer. He was outgoing and loved boating. He enjoyed socializing with friends and serving as a guest chef in local restaurants. At a young age, Ken joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents of Urbana; brother, Paul Parker, Jr. of Sunnyvale, CA; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ken's name to the American Diabetes Association, New York State - Memorial Processing Center, P. O. Box 31160, Hartford, CT 06150-1160.
